Swimming has been a big part of my life. As a youngster I participated in swimming competitions and till this day I love to swim whenever I can. But swimming can become monotonous if you’re training. I’ve tried and tested numerous music solutions and the best one was a Waterproof Music Player that was dirt cheap. What’s the catch? Its no longer for sale.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you THE:
Nabaiji SWIMMUSIC 100
The Nabaiji SWIMMUSIC 100 is designed as a waterproof MP3 player specifically for swimmers. It features a compact and lightweight design that clips securely onto swim goggles or if you’re just chilling to your Apple Watch Ultra 2, making it a versatile Waterproof Music Player.
The device is waterproof up to a certain depth (typically around 2 to 3 meters), ensuring it can withstand underwater use without damage. The SWIMMUSIC 100 provides 4 GB storage and plays music directly through waterproof earphones, which deliver clear sound even underwater. Granted they earphones are mediocre and there is no bass, but I found all underwater earphones to perform more ore less the same. It’s a solid Waterproof Music Player for all its intents and purposes.
The controls are simple, but because there is no interface and the controls are stiff and rubberised I do sometimes battle the device and can’t get it to do what I want. My advice turn it on and just let it run.
The challenge: buying one
I found mine at a local Decathlon store in the on-sale bin. Currently Decathlon has a collaboration with the much more popular expensive Shokz bone conduction headphones. This probably why it’s no longer for sale online but you can find this Waterproof Music Player for around 5 dollars on eBay.
Conclusion
I’ve used them during swim training, for this I would highly recommend getting a swimming-cap that covers your ears to keep the headphones in place. If you really want to train without one I would recommend getting alternative headphones or the more expensive bone conducting headphones. Where the SWIMMUSIC 100 really excels is during chilling in the pool or snorkelling, hooking it up to my Apple Watch is one of my absolute favourite cheap-summer-lifehacks. To sum up, a Waterproof Music Player can make all the difference in elevating your water activities.
